Composite Rates

The Composite Rate tool allows you to create bill codes that are made up of other codes:

The tool lists all composite rates on the left pane and the definition for the selected code on the right. The two commands are:

Adds a new composite code
Delete the selected composite code

A composite rate can use other composite rates as shown here:

 

Process Mode

When a composite code contains one or more composite code, the process mode is used when combining:

CombineJoins the two, adding the number of units for any code that is duplicated
FirstUses the first occurrence of each code
MinUses the smallest number of units for each code
MaxUses the largest number of units for each code

Note that when a number of units is used for a composite code, it is used as a multiplier for the units inside the code.
