Locking documents prevent any changes from being applied. When you lock a document the system creates a locked merged form version of the document, which will be added to the cross references for the work product (case, etc.)

Setting signature pages
Signature pages are pages that contain some sort of information, usually signatures, that force them to be printed and scanned back into the system to complete. As locked documents cannot be modified, you need to tell the system which of the document pages will need to be scanned back into the system.
When you lock the page, eCandidus™ will display a dialog box:
Simply click on the check box next to the page name to define that page as a signature page. When you select a page on the left side menu, a thumbnail of the page is displayed for your review. Clicking on the OK button completes the process.
