In order to make sure that you have the proper packets, forms and documents that make up EAMS, please follow these steps:
Update to version 2010.04.08 or later
Follow the normal update process to bring your stations up to date.
Getting the packets
To get the packets, select Cases from the main menu, then Share Desk and Get Form Packets:
Select Workers Compensation from the top drop down box. The packets will be listed:
Select all packets, by clicking on the first packet and while holding the mouse button down, scroll to the last entry.
Click on the OK button to get the packets.
We currently have the following packet definitions:
Getting the forms
To get the forms, select Forms from the main menu, then Share Desk and Get Forms:
Select Workers Compensation from the top drop down box. The forms will be listed:
Select all forms, by clicking on the first form and while holding the mouse button down, scroll to the last entry.
Click on the OK button to get the forms.
Getting the documents
To get the dpocuments, select Documents from the main menu, then Share Desk and Get Documents:
Select Workers Compensation from the top drop down box. The documents will be listed:
Select all documents, by clicking on the first document and while holding the mouse button down, scroll to the last entry.
Click on the OK button to get the documents.
Repeat the process, using General instead of Workres Compensation and select the Pleading Address Bock as the sole document.
Things to look for in th EAMS packets
Proof of Service
When a proof of service is included in the packet, it will list all possible inclusions. Please make sure that you remove any form not included in the packet.
When vieweing the proof of service, you may add any address from the case by pressing Ctrl+B which will display all the addresses in the case and allow you to select one to be added. You can repeat this step any number of times.
You can replace the default proof of service with your own, simply edit the document titled Proof Of Service - Form Packets. Note that the document list is passed as [\System\Clipboard] which you can make use in your POS.
Most separator forms will auto-fill completely, except those that require a doctor or other source name for the source. These will show as a yellow Created indicator in the packet viewer.
The default author name comes from the Reportable Name field in your Settings:System settings.
Printing the packet
When you print the packet, extra pages may be included. The first will show ** MISSING ** xxx which indicates a missing entry in the packet.
You may also see ** NEXT PAGE NEEDS SIGNATURE(S) ** which indicates that signatures are needed in the page that follow.
You can file the packet as you would any other EAMS form. OCR filing does not require you to add external documents into the packet prior to printig, simply replace the missing pages after you print. You can still add the external docuemnts and have them be part of the eCandidus™ case for easy accessibility.
Similar handling applies to signature pages, simply sign them after printing.
This choice will not be available for eFiling, as the packet must contain all attachments and proper signatures so it can be filed.
